"Hi Rod:
As you know we had a delivery disaster when the movers moved in an appliance. Much to our horror we had damage to the flooring that Smith Bros had installed in December of 2012. The floors are just 2 years old. The type of wood has been discontinued and the option for replacement of the nosing on the stairs not possible. I found online some nosing of the same type of wood but a different shaping to the nosing.
Rod came and talked me thru the situation, and as he was the only person from any of the flooring companies to come and look at the damage to our stairs and provide a clear action plan. He was also the only one who responded quickly.( many companies just said ‘no’ to repairing the stairs and some didn’t even bother to respond to messages.)
Rod reassured me through a number of follow up calls that the nosing found for the replacement would work and that they had installers skilled to do the work well. It was because of the communication by Rod that we had confidence in job that was going to be done.
Rod really cared about the outcome of our situation. The installer, HI, did a great job of the stair nosing replacement. He was very considerate of our home. He cleaned up as he went and there was no mess left for me to take care of! Thank you HI!
I would recommend The Smith Bros Flooring for their workmanship in our new flooring(2012) and the care and consideration that they took in doing repairs to our stairs.(2015)
